Grown at Larry and MaryLynn Somers' Lenox Castle Vineyard located less than 5 miles due north of Grove, these vines planted in 1991 may be the oldest Syrah in North Carolina.  The French-style syrah is barrel aged in European oak.

  • The 2009 Grove Syrah medaled in the 2011 NC Wine Competition and the 2011 Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine Competition
  • The 2008 Syrah won a silver medal in the 2010 NC Wine Competition
